Our contacts are Carl Ricketts (UK) and Kenneth Goldberg (USA).
Carl is the coordinator of pewtersellers, and joint website manager with his wife Margaret. He is the immediate Past-President of the Pewter Society, and former Editor of the Society's twice yearly Journal, and Newsletter. He is a freeman of the Worshipful Company of Pewterers of London, and a member of the Pewter Collectors Club of America (PCCA). He is author of Marks & Marking of Weights & Measures of the British Isles, and Pewterers of London 1600-1900. His interest in old pewter began in 1975, and he has a small collection of pewter, with some copper, brass and bronze measures. His favourite pieces tend to be holloware items including spice pots, early mugs and measures.

Dr Ken runs a family dental practice, and divides most of his spare time between pewter matters and lobster fishing for which he has a commercial licence, and runs his boat out of Plymouth marina. He has been a Vice-President of the PCCA, its Authenticity Chair, and is a member of the Pewter Society. Starting an antiques business with his wife Linda kindled his interest in old pewter. Ken enjoys collecting mainly British pewter, and especially likes decorated pewter, of which he has a small collection. His favourite pieces include 18th century tablewares, repousse dishes, and holloware with folk engraving.

The first photo shows us with our long-suffering partners who like to describe themselves as pewter widows. Strangely, as is often the case, they do not look too unhappy when we are combining a holiday with pewter business! Ken & Linda are on the left of the photo, Maggs & Carl on the right.
